I’m sure you have heard about the boho trend whilst on social media or browsing Pinterest. The boho theme is popping up everywhere – and has been for quite some time and it’s becoming a hot wedding trend, so here’s a little boho inspiration for you, if you are planning a boho wedding whilst we are in lockdown then hopefully you get some ideas from this?
From beautifully styling reception rooms with overhead hanging floral arrangements to boho themed cakes and bridal bouquets, there is so much to love about this relaxed style of wedding, so I thought I’d bring you a round up of some my favourites ideas I know will be huge for 2021 weddings and beyond.
Boho wedding dresses come in so many beautiful forms. You can choose a design that incorporates subtle boho elements or opt for a statement dress with tons of bohemian flair. Think flowy skirts and lots of stunning boho lace wedding gowns. There are lots of ways to take a simple classic gown and add some bohemian details with it, like flower crowns or statement jeweller.
For the ceremony, consider a floral teepee arch, flower hanging, or eucalyptus garland for our backdrop. Centrepieces could include jam jar vases filled with big, bushy flowers, candles or simple greenery with some succulents. The sky is the limit when it comes to boho wedding decor.
If you’re looking at having a photo booth at your reception, your backdrop could include a flower wall or a simple wall hanging. Bohemian style is all about creativity!
Inspiration shoots were all over the emerging Pampas grass trend. This bushy, yet fluffy, grass creates such a statement and is the perfect way to decorate a venue. Just check with your venue that they are happy for you to us Pampas as it’s a weed in some areas.
And don’t forget about paper goods! Save the dates and invitations will set the mood for your wedding and get guests excited for what’s to come. Craft stationery or crisp, white cards with light artistic elements are a perfect way to hint at your wedding theme. Place cards and signage for the wedding day can follow the same theme. If you’re feeling extra crafty, consider practicing your hand lettering and making the signs yourself! All you need is a fun pen and some practice.
Wedding favours are a tradition that may couples are either modifying or eliminating altogether. If you are choosing to provide favours for guests, opt for fun boho gifts to add a touch of whimsy to the day. Small potted succulents, raw quartz, or essential oils are all great gift options to show appreciation toward you wedding guests
A boho wedding theme is super easy to pull off and can make your wedding day so romantic and memorable. Just remember to keep your wedding your own!
