Tell me about your The Beginning!
Both a bit lonely during the first Melbourne lockdown, we decided to give online dating a go in hopes of finding a bubble buddy! After a week or so of long message we set up a zoom date. It was a great first date where we chatted for over 2 hours, we went on a few more creative online dates before deciding to meet in person for a walk. Kat was so nervous on the first in person meeting that she speed walked so fast she almost fainted! non the less it was a great first date.
When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged on a March 21st this year. After date night in the city, we walked home to Richmond. Jordan proposed to Kat outside the Melbourne Conservatory in Fitzroy gardens.
What style/theme/colours have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
We have gone for traditional look without prescribing to many of the traditional wedding day elements. Tried focus on the parts of the day that are most important to us, our ceremony, our faith, the vows and our guest enjoyment. We opted to keep it simple with a black and white colour scheme and not have any decorations. The CBD and church has enough of a vibe on its own, we don’t need to add a thing!
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
We are both looking forward to making a life long commitment to one another in front of our family, friends and God. We look forward to celebrating that with our community!
- Take advice from wedding professionals and those who have been there before you.
- Make a list of the things you’ll most value about your wedding day before you start planning, it ok if those thing are different to other peoples list.
- Know that wedding aren’t just about you – the couple – they are about your larger family and communities. It great to include their opinions and needs in an appropriate way.
