Their sliding doors moment happened back in May 2019 on the basketball court, where an otherwise shy Rach was oozing confidence and pizazz, sparking a ‘love at first sight’ situation for Demi who admitted she was overcome immediately with a desire to get to know Rach who was quite curious and intrigued by the firecracker paying her so much attention. A little stalking by Demi was all it took before these two were officially inseparable by day 2!
Now look I don’t need to go into the ins and outs of what happened next, or how well things have panned out for Demi and Rach because I’m amongst the very people who know that better than anyone, and of course ….. spoiler alert ….. today kind of gives it away too!
What I can say though, is that over the years, despite their differing demeanours, cleaning abilities and fashion choices, it’s become completely obvious that Demi and Rach are a complimentary and super fun couple that just work! Their strengths and weaknesses balance each other out, they live life on the same page, have a huge amount of respect and adoration for each other, and share remarkably similar morals, ethics, and family values.
Their love of getting outdoors, sipping on ½ coke, ½ raspberry slurpies at the drive in, or simply heckling the hell out of one another, as well as aligned vision for a friends and family filled future, full to the brim with all the things that make them smile, mean quite simply, they are already well and truly immersed in their very own happily ever after.
So why Rach, Demi? And why Demi, Rach?
Demi, you told me “Rach is kind, loving, humble and simply thankful for everything and everyone. She really would do anything for me, and I’ve never felt not loved by her. The love I have for her will never go and I’ll forever be by her side. To pinch a line from Gaga ‘she found the light in me I couldn’t find.”
Rach told me “Demi feels with her whole body. She has the biggest heart, and her care runs deep. She’s empathetic, sympathetic, incredibly witty and has the ability to make people feel really special. She just brings so much joy to any moment of the day.”
Let’s face it, Demi and Rach are a good match. They know it, I know it, and so do all of you, and that’s why there are so many of you here to celebrate with them today.
Whether it’s playing/supporting basketball games, planning their next overseas adventure, family time, watching a good action or thriller movie, caffeinating, heading to the beach, outdoor glamping or staying at the W – any experience together is quality, valued and never taken for granted.
Everyday Demi and Rach get to spend together is a good day and the very reason they plan for this to never change! Just sub out the Clyde love nest for a retirement home in Florida, and they are set!
